Television

  • On the syndicated show, Mutant X, episode #209, entitled "Body and Soul", the character Brennan Mulwray sports a "vintage" Camaro V8 t-shirt. (Patrick)
  • A '69 Camaro appeared in Tim's class on an episode of Home Improvement. (Submitted by Geoff Martin)
  • "Bewitched" (now shown on Nick at Nite)was supplied cars by Chevy Motor Division - lots of different years 67- 69, including Camaros. (Submitted by Terry Mazurkewicz)
  • In the TV show Charlie's Angels, Farrah Faucett drove a 1980 Camaro convertible. These cars were aftermarket conversions, not factory and only a small number of them were done (approx. 500). (Submitted by Jeffrey Carmichael)

Name Origins

  • The Camaro was originally supposed to be named "Panther" but Chevy Execs did not like that name because it did not start with a "C", so Chevy renamed the car "Camaro" supposedly meaning "Friend" or "Companion" in some old, obscure dictionary. (Submitted by Adrian and BoMbErMaN2)
